With drivers seemingly getting shittier by the minute, I would get the device that could get your ass out of trouble before I purchased a radio. That's just my opinion though.

You think this would be the case, but I'm a huge audiophile and having to use a tiny bluetooth speaker to get my car audio when I have 10 high-end speakers surrounding me that are useless is torture to me. I might end up having enough birthday money for both, so I might not have choose.

How is the quality at night? and can you disable sound recording? I'm not sure if sound is legal were I'm at

Sound can be disabled. Quality at night is very good, but because it captures so much light, brake lights can create a red glow around cars at night.
